What we accept
-
Clean, dry nylon offcuts, regrind or turnings, with PA6 and PA66 kept apart.
-
Each bag or pallet labelled with the polymer and grade.
-
No metal inserts, swarf, tools or other plastics.
-
Tell us about fillers or coatings. Oil, coolant, mixed grades or unknown plastic are checked first.
-
No minimum.
Sort it at the machine
Nylon builds up as bar ends, plate remnants, chips and rejected parts. Keep the supplier label with the batch, and separate PA6 from PA66 at the machine. Tell us about glass fill or other additives if you know.
Don't call an unknown plastic nylon just because it machines the same way. Put an uncertain piece aside rather than in a labelled bag.
How to pack it
Use a bulk bag for turnings or regrind and a stable pallet for larger offcuts. Mark each one with the polymer, grade and rough quantity. Send a photo of one open bag and its label.
Arrange the collection
Collection across metropolitan Melbourne, with delivery to our yard available by arrangement for business loads.
Our nylon and polycarbonate collection service is built for machine shops and moulders. Send the number of bags or pallets and tell us if a forklift can reach them. We take one-off lots and regular pickups.
Keep polycarbonate apart from nylon, and keep acetal, UHMWPE and PTFE out of the bags. Check Materials we work with for other workshop materials, then tell us what you've got.
