What we accept with conditions
-
Inconel, Hastelloy or Monel turnings and offcuts from business work.
-
Each alloy and grade in its own labelled container.
-
Supplier labels or grade sheets, if you have them.
-
Tell us about coolant, oil or free liquid before we book.
-
Mixed or unknown material kept apart and checked separately.
Name the alloy
The alloy and grade matter more than a general word like "swarf". Tell us which job made it and whether the same grade is used every time. Keep the original labels, and don't guess a grade by how it looks.
How to pack turnings
Use strong containers with lids on. Send a photo of the containers, the labels and some of the material, where it is safe to. Keep this apart from steel tooling, carbide inserts and general workshop metal.
One-off or regular
Tell us the rough weight, container count, suburb and loading access. Say whether this is a one-off or something you produce regularly.
If a whole production area is changing, list the other equipment through equipment retirement. Keep tungsten carbide and mixed metal out of the alloy containers. Materials we work with covers how to pack related materials.
Collection arrangements
Collection across metropolitan Melbourne, with delivery to our yard available by arrangement for business loads.
