Crex runs industrial recycling services Melbourne businesses use for one-off loads and regular output.
The problem
Empty IBCs, bags of plastic offcuts or old tooling can sit in a corner for months. You know where it came from, but finding someone to take it eats into production time. It might be steady weekly output, or a one-off leftover from a change in equipment or stock.

What Crex does
-
Tell us about it. What it is, where it comes from, its condition and roughly how much. Photos help.
-
We check and quote. We confirm whether we can take it before anything is booked, and email you a quote.
-
We collect. We agree packing, access and timing with your site contact, then collect once or on a regular schedule.

What we take
What we handle
Industrial recycling services Melbourne for business streams
These are our main streams. If yours isn't listed, ask anyway.
Plastics
-
Nylon and polycarbonate offcuts, kept separate by type. See our engineering plastics service.
-
Polystyrene and EPS: clean, dry, white business packaging.
Containers
-
Empty IBCs and 200 L drums, where you know what they held.
-
Retired stillages and pallet cages, collected from your site, quoted per job.
-
Wine barrels in bulk: 20 or more sound, dry French or American oak barrels, 225 L or 300 L, first used within six years.
Metals, batteries and solar
-
Lead-acid UPS strings, forklift traction batteries, standby and telecom banks.
-
Tungsten carbide and nickel superalloys tooling and turnings.
-
Decommissioned solar panels, disconnected and ready to load.
See materials we work with for the full list.
What we don't handle
- Plastics outside our programme: HDPE, PP, ABS, PVC, PET, foam and film.
- Mixed, dirty or contaminated streams, or a grade that has changed without telling us.
- Household material of any kind.
- Material we can't identify. Send the grade, a photo and where it came from.
Two ways to run it
A defined project
A one-off job for stored material, obsolete stock or leftovers from a production change. Tell us what it is, roughly how much and how it's stored. If an area needs clearing by a date, say so early.
A recurring programme
Regular collections for steady output. We set the frequency around your production and storage space, and adjust it when things change.
Use the material preparation guide to get started. A short email is enough: what it is, how much, how it's stored and where it is.
Collection arrangements
Collection across metropolitan Melbourne, with delivery to our yard available by arrangement for business loads.
