Nylon recycling works best when each polymer stays in its own labelled bag, clean and dry.

The problem

Offcuts pile up faster than your team can move them, and storage starts to crowd production. Labels get lost between the machine and the storage area. Once similar-looking plastics, metal inserts or coolant get mixed in, a known batch becomes an unknown one.

What Crex does

  1. Tell us the polymer. Send the polymer names, grades and form, such as sheet, regrind or turnings. Photos help.

  2. Agree how to pack it. We agree labelled bulk bags or pallets, where they're stored and how they get to the truck.

  3. Set a collection rhythm. We collect once or on a schedule that fits your output. Tell us when a grade or coating changes.

What we take

What we handle

Nylon recycling in Melbourne: what we take

Nylon and polycarbonate offcuts from machine shops and moulders.

  • Nylon PA6 and PA66, each in its own labelled bag.

  • Polycarbonate sheet offcuts, regrind and turnings.

  • Clean, dry, single-polymer material with no metal inserts, oil, coolant or other plastic.

  • Bulk bags or sound pallets labelled with polymer, form and rough quantity.

  • Coloured polycarbonate, looked at case by case.

There's no set minimum. Send bag or pallet counts and photos. If you're not sure what an offcut is, keep it separate.

Machine shops often have tungsten carbide inserts too. Keep them as a separate stream.

What we don't handle

  • EPS polystyrene and other foams. For clean EPS packaging, use polystyrene collection.
  • HDPE, PP, ABS, PVC, PET, acetal, UHMWPE and PTFE offcuts.
  • Acrylic or Perspex, soft plastics and film.
  • Mixed, painted, glued or oily offcuts. Lower grades have no buyer, so keep the bags clean.

Two ways to run it

One-off accumulated stock

Clears a stored batch with known grades. Each bag needs to be identified before we take it.

Scheduled production programme

Regular collections for steady output. Someone on site keeps the polymers separate and tells us when a grade or coating changes.

Melbourne service areas

Across Melbourne, Victoria, we assess collections in Braeside, Moorabbin, Dandenong South, Clayton, Mulgrave, Bayswater, Laverton and Campbellfield. Include your suburb, loading route, induction requirements and preferred window in the scope request. Collection dates follow acceptance of the material and the access plan.

Connected programmes

Keep the whole project connected.
