Industrial equipment recycling starts with a list of what is being retired: electrical gear, lab and test equipment, motors, tooling and spare parts.
The problem
A line upgrade or lab refit leaves a mix of cabinets, motors, test gear, tooling and spares. Your waste contract won't take it, the scrap yard only wants part of it, and nobody has time to sort the rest.

What Crex does
-
Send us the list. Photos and counts for each type of equipment. We tell you what we take and what is better left with someone else.
-
Agree the plan. We work out where each type goes before anything moves. If part of the list is not for us, we say so now.
-
Collect by type. Pallets or stillages loaded from your floor or dock, with each type kept together.

What we take
What we handle
Industrial equipment recycling Melbourne: what we take
Retired equipment, from single units to pallet and stillage lots, sorted by type before collection. The office decommissioning checklist helps you build the list.
-
Electrical equipment: switchboards, control cabinets, drives, power supplies and test gear. See electrical equipment from business sites.
-
Electric motors and transformers, disconnected, with weights and any oil noted.
-
Lab equipment: analysers, centrifuges, ovens and test rigs, with any refrigerant or residue noted. No glassware or chemicals.
-
Printers and copiers, POS and retail hardware and screens.
-
Lead-acid batteries from UPS units and forklifts, disconnected by a qualified technician.
-
Metal from retired equipment: frames, brackets, cabinets and stainless steel.
-
Copper cable and wiring and tungsten carbide tooling, kept separate.
-
Obsolete parts and spares and prototype units, with secure destruction where your brand needs it.
What we don't handle
- Fixed plant and whole-factory machinery removal. For whole office floors, see commercial defit.
- Building work, electrical disconnection and lease make-good. Those belong with your builder and electrician.
- Oil-filled transformers and equipment still holding oil, coolant or refrigerant.
- Equipment with unknown residue inside. Tell us what it held first.
Two ways to run it
One-off retirement
One collection for a line upgrade, lab refit or workshop change, once the equipment is disconnected and gathered in one place.
Regular collections
For businesses that retire equipment on a cycle, such as test labs and service fleets. We agree what we take and how to pack it once.
Melbourne service areas
Across Melbourne, Victoria, we assess collections in Braeside, Moorabbin, Dandenong South, Clayton, Mulgrave, Bayswater, Laverton and Campbellfield. Include your suburb, loading route, induction requirements and preferred window in the scope request. Collection dates follow acceptance of the material and the access plan.
Collection arrangements
Collection across metropolitan Melbourne, with delivery to our yard available by arrangement for business loads.
