POS terminal disposal: what we collect

  • POS terminals and touchscreen tills you own.

  • Barcode scanners, receipt printers and customer displays.

  • Retail tablets, handheld stock devices and charging docks.

  • EFTPOS terminals, only when you own them.

Check the payment-provider return first

EFTPOS terminal disposal can't go ahead just because a store has closed. Ask your bank or payment provider whether the terminal must be returned. Keep those devices apart until they say. Don't send payment records or security details in photos.

Retail IT hardware disposal can cover tills, back-office computers and handheld devices under different contracts. Your IT team checks each group for stored data and decides whether it is wiped or destroyed. For store closure IT, make a final list after the last trading day, so nothing still in use goes by mistake.

How to pack it

Group equipment by store and device type, with small items in boxes. Tell us about missing adapters or damaged batteries. Send the shopping centre's loading rules, vehicle limits and the name of the person who will hand over the equipment.

How it works

  1. Check ownership. Sort out any payment-provider returns first.

  2. Send the list. Devices by store, the data instruction and the date after trading ends.

  3. We collect. We count the devices with your store contact. Data is wiped or destroyed as instructed, and the rest is recycled.

You get written confirmation once the data is wiped or destroyed.

Collection, minimums and timing

Collection across metropolitan Melbourne, with delivery to our yard available by arrangement for business loads.

There is no minimum. The fee depends on the load and access, and the quote comes back by email once we have looked at what you have.

Related asset types

Include printers, phones and tablets and business computers from the same refresh. Keep provider-owned devices out of the load until they are cleared.

Return to e-waste collection or materials we work with. See hard drives and data before you hand over any storage.

Batteries in devices

Laptops, phones and tablets can come as they are, with their batteries in. Loose, swollen or damaged lithium batteries are not taken. Tell us if any device is swollen, cracked or has been in water.
